HIRING PROCESS
Phase 1 - Application Submission
- Complete the online application with all required documents.
Phase 2 - FFAT Physical Agility Test
- Demonstrate physical fitness through a series of exercises designed to simulate on-the-job requirements.
Phase 3 - Background Investigation
- A thorough review of your personal and professional history to ensure integrity and eligibility.
Phase 4 – Computer Voice Stress Examination/ Selection Committee
- Meet with a panel to discuss your qualifications and suitability for the role.
Conditional Offer: Receive a conditional offer pending the successful completion of all Phases of the hiring process.
Phase 5 - Medical and Psychological Evaluations
- Comprehensive assessments to confirm your fitness for duty.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. Citizen
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Police Officer: Must be 21 prior to graduation from the Police Academy
- Lateral Police Officer: Currently MPCTC Certified and in good standing with a current agency or prior agency
- No Felony Convictions
- Meet The Minimum Standards Set By The Maryland Police & Correctional Training Commission For Police Applicants
